I apply human-centered design methods to solving problems with technology for Michigan Medicine's clinical business units and medical education programs. I am the founding member of Women in Technology Chat, a safe space for women and non-binary tech workers to talk to each other online. In my career, I’ve worked across diverse domains: patient safety, medical education, as well as enterprise and consumer software applications.
I’ve been fascinated with technology for as long as I can remember. I came of age in the time of dial-up and AOL chat rooms. I taught myself to write HTML and CSS so that I could design custom themes for my LiveJournal. Facebook’s watchful gaze settled in upon my generation while we were in college. This early exposure combined with my curiosity for how things work is the bedrock of my passion for software design.
